Grief and trauma are complicated and affect people in many ways. They manifest in ways that are sometimes unfamiliar and confusing to process. Ed looks forward to helping you on your journey towards healing.
Ed Curtis currently works full-time as a police officer with a local police department, and have been serving his community for over 20 years. He also come from a family of first responders. Since 2019, Ed Curtis have been part of a critical incident/peer support team. As part of his work in law enforcement, he received training and certifications in suicide intervention, trauma informed principles, crisis intervention, and psychological first aid.
Ed Curtis graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Shippensburg University in May 2022. His experience in counseling comes from working with individuals who have experienced repeated trauma throughout their lives. He works with individuals who struggle with or have a history of drug and alcohol addictions. As part of his treatment approach, he utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He completed EMDR training in March 2023.
Ed Curtis does individual and couples therapy. He works with those that have experienced complex trauma and crime victims. He enjoys working with individuals from law enforcement and other first responder disciplines as well as those who support them in these roles.
